KIT'S K&C LEARNING CURVE COMES FULL CIRCLE

For Kit Tempest Williams, the experience of being on the receiving end of private tuition at the age of 12 has shaped his approach to his current role as a private tutor with Webtutornet and Kensington & Chelsea Tutors.

Kit explained "At the time I was receiving tuition for maths, physics, chemistry and biology from a tutor with K&C as I was studying for entry exams into St Paul's School.

"My tutor was excellent. Private tuition certainly benefited me but it is worth noting that there is no substitute for individual hard work. Tutoring should only be a supplement to hard work on your own. It can never replace it," added Kit who, nine years later, found himself working for K&C!

"I became a private tutor because I like to help people learn and I feel that teaching is a continuation of learning with the student, albeit with more expertise than they have.

"My own experiences of private tuition impacted my teaching because I know exactly what it's like to be a student wanting to know the answer and sometimes not knowing it first time round!

"I am always keen to give positive feedback and keep the lessons fun partially as a result of my own experiences," added Kit.

As a pupil turned tutor Kit has clearly learnt his lesson which can only benefit the many young students currently learning with K&C.
