Re: Your Tutor [W....]. We wish to express our gratitude to your agency for recommending the above named to teach Classics to our daughter [S....]. We heard just before Christmas that [S....] has been accepted unconditionally by Oxford University to read Classics. This is no small part due to the endeavours of [W....]. As you know, he started teaching [S....] in August of this year and in the space of less than four months not only restored her GCSE knowledge but placed her in a position whereby she could compete both in language and literature with students in their fourth term of studying Latin and Greek in the Sixth Form. Whilst the offer is unconditional, we will still wish to continue tutorials so that [S....] is well prepared for the first year at Oxford. On the basis that [W....] is representative of the standard of your tutors we would have no hesitation in recommending your agency to anyone who needed a tutor of excellence. Many thanks and best wishes.

Are tutors vetted?

Yes. As a Registered Body with the Criminal Records Bureau we are able to carry out Enhanced Disclosure checks on all applicants. This is the most in depth check which can be carried out in the UK. We interview ALL tutors.

How does payment work?

Tutors bring timesheets to each lesson to be signed. A monthly invoice is then issued to all clients based on hours taught.

Are there any extra costs?

No. The hourly rate is all-inclusive. If any additional travel costs may be applicable this will be discussed in advance; there are no hidden costs.

Are there any cancellation fees?

Yes. If a lesson is cancelled within 24 hours the total cost of the lesson will be incurred.

What are the payment Terms and Conditions?

All invoices are due for payment by the final day of the month of issue. Any invoice outstanding beyond this period will be referred to Daniels Silverman Limited and will be subject to a surcharge of 20% plus VAT to cover the collection costs incurred. This surcharge together with all other charges and legal fees incurred will be the responsibility of the customer and will be legally enforceable.

Peak times of the year

The Christmas and Easter holidays are extremely popular periods for private tuition. The bulk of Public Examinations are sat in the summer term, so Easter is a period of intense revision. To a lesser extent the same applies to the Christmas holidays as it is now possible to sit many Public Examinations in January.
